This session will explore the importance of developing quality relationships with children and the connection with their understanding, participation, engagement, and sense of well-being and achievement within the context of their learning environment.
We will investigate effective communication strategies and engage participants in reflective thinking about their own intentionality and pedagogical practice. Participants will engage in facilitated conversations to consider the verbal and non-verbal communication strategies to support children’s engagement and learning.
Completing the Effective Engagement and Communication in Children’s Learning session contributes 4 hours and 30 minutes of QTC Registered PD addressing 3.5.2 and 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.Participants must attend the full session to be eligible for the accredited hours.
