This session aims to explore the background to the concept of the rights of the child with links to the EYLF, Code of Ethics and the National Quality Standards, and how to embed the rights of the child in practice. Participants will examine Standard 5.1.2 The dignity and rights of every child are maintained and its implications for practice and explore strategies of how to embed the rights of the child in daily practices, programs and relationships.
Completing Children’s Rights Children’s Voices will contribute 5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 6.2.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW
