Online Training Webinar Cost: AUD $360 NQF: 1|4|5|6|NQF

A guiding principle of the National Quality Framework (NQF) is that Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures are valued. But where do we begin, and how do we enable others to understand the importance of this rich and diverse culture?

This workshop is designed to provide educators with a clearer understanding of how to to acknowledge and celebrate Aboriginal Australia. We will explore how to deliver respectful experiences of Indigenous histories, cultures and languages, and who to engage with in order to embed authentic Aboriginal perspectives into your program.

This is a great workshop for those wanting to understand: Why services and individuals should acknowledge and celebrate Aboriginal Australia, where and how to begin, and how to plan and deliver experiences for children that are also responsive to the local Indigenous community?

Completing Acknowledging and Celebrating Aboriginal Australia - A Starting Point will contribute 5 hours of PD addressing Standard 2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Professional Knowledge Standard 2: Know the content and how to teach it. This course may also contribute 5 hours of Elective PD to your maintenance of teacher accreditation requirements, in line with the current Elective PD Criteria https://www.educationstandards.nsw.edu.au/wps/portal/nesa/teacher-accreditation/professional-development/pd-requirements
