Many educators are aware of Loose Parts and have them incorporated this into their program. But how much do we understand about loose parts theory and how it promotes inquiry based learning?
This session will explore the Theory of Loose Parts and affordances in the learning environment and enable us to better appreciate the potential of loose parts to promote discovery and investigation.
Completing Loose Parts Play will contribute 2 hours of PD addressing Standard 3 and Standard 6 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers. Professional Practice Standard 3: Plan for and Implement Effective Teaching and Learning.
